What’s new in Favro

The Timeline 2.0 update introduces a variety of improved functions, new features, and design, including:

• Milestones.
• Finer card title visibility.
• Revamped card creation option.
• More significant card movement in the timeline.
• Improved visual representation of card durations.
• Better showcasing of cards without a timeline.

Favro's new progress bar is all seeing, and more powerful than first meets the eye.

• Monitor the progression status of cards across single or multiple boards in a progress bar on a board
• Hover the progress bar to pinpoint the exact status of every card in the status flow
• Track the progression of checklists in cards
• Summarize the average progression for child cards by hovering their parents’ progression bar

You can now share multiple views at once via the shareable link option – not just to the entire board as before. Why is it useful?

• Share custom views tailored to the needs of your specific team member
• Distribute the same roadmap to various executives with custom board filters, highlighting the most relevant detail

Color and customize your Cards with many new shades. Using a more versatile color palette,  you can increase the visibility of each card on your timeline or Kanban board and make sure your team can always see a clear roadmap into the future. Why? Because increased visibility means increased productivity.

Breaking big projects into smaller, more manageable tasks is always a good idea. You have long been able to break an Epic into User Stories, and a project into tasks, but with our latest update, this feature just got a big transparency boost. The parent card now lists all related child cards in the card editor – even on multiple boards. Track your work on multiple levels without jumping back and forth between cards.

With the following update, you will be able to:

• Start working in seconds by choosing a template from the Template Gallery.
• Use the best Agile techniques such as Scrum, OKRs, User stories, etc.
• Manage Teams and functions such as QA, DevOps, Marketing, HR, etc., and dashboards of product, leadership, externals, etc.
• Customize templates to your needs and save them in Template Editor.
• Share it across the studio, team, or individual while saving all - automation, cards, or even members on templates.

Dragging and moving things around in a sheet view would sometimes test your patience, but no more! It should now behave as it's expected to, even when only moving the mouse cursor a few pixels.

Have more power by taking these actions: Send message, Assign member, Unassign member, Change card field (when changing a member field).
Now you can:

• Select the user who performed the action.
• Select members assigned to the card (including selecting from a specific member field).

A simple and straight forward, but none the less highly requested feature has finally arrived — you can now make a copy of a board, including all its contents!

Choose where you want it, and what to bring with you – cards, comments, automations, etc.

You can now reorder fields in the card view allowing you to better fit your team's work with Favro:

• Board owners can reorder fields as they wish.
• If you add a card from one board to the other, the fields from the originating board will be added last to the target board.

One board can now have different views selected in different collections. This makes it easier to build dashboards where different collections can show different views:

• One collection can be a team collection.
• That team board can show all bugs in another collection.
• That team board can display a burndown in a third collection.

You can now reorder tags and members on a card making daily work quicker and less cumbersome.

Break down a card with a template, for example:

• Product epics to product grooming boards or backlog.
• Marketing campaigns or big projects into task boards.
• Big company initiatives to work boards.

Card ID is now available in sheets view:

• Add Card ID by clicking + in a sheet.
• Click on Card ID to directly copy a link to the card.
• Filter on Card ID (all views).
• Card ID has been visually updated in all views.

Having the Relations column provides detailed information about where the card is, in what board/collection, and what is its current status. It can also be used to monitor specific teams work or have the connection between different board status fields.

You can now export a board as:

• Microsoft Excel.
• Comma Separated Values (CSV).
• JavaScript Object Notation (JSON).

Timeline view improvements:

• Lanes in board timeline view.
• Additional data on cards like status, time on board, custom fields can be displayed.

This is our the biggest change to Favro in 2021 and we can’t wait for you to try it!

• New relations table where you can view, add, remove and change status on all boards the card exists on.
• New dependencies table where you can view, add, remove dependencies to other cards.
• Comment on dependencies.
• Visualize dependencies on Kanban and Timeline boards.
• Visualize dependencies between teams on different boards.
• Quickly add dependencies by clicking on a Kanban card, a timeline card or by pressing D over any card.
• Edit dependencies by clicking on lines.

In Favro you can now:

• Add images and files in comments.
• Look at the activity feed to see which images and files have been added to a card or collection.

The Favro <> Jira integration has been updated and now:

• Supports two way user sync
• Sync via webhooks
• Jira data center support
• Automations integration
• Many bugs fixed for more robustness
• Polished UI

Now you can structure your collections in folders:

• Add color to folders
• Search for folders when adding or moving cards
• Starred is now prioritized above pinned
• Star and pin individual collections within folders

Favro now has support to share links (or so called "viewer accounts") with collection and board data:

• Securely share links with anyone in your company without paying for extra users
• On the Enterprise plan, let users open cards and read comments. Users can sign up to leave a comment
• Share links outside of your company, like to a community of users

Favro's API has been updated and expanded:

• Full support for all custom field types
• Getting a rich text format in markdown from card descriptions
• Bug fixes

With Favro's new Automations, teams can save time, streamline their workflow and increase coordination between teams.

Some examples:

• Create recurring tasks on every time period
• Change the status of a card when it's completed by a team member
• Send a message to people within the organisation when a due date is reached
• Integrate of your build infrastructure via webhooks to move tasks and stories

From now on you can select many rows in a sheet, click and edit one cell, and fill that value to the rest of the cells. This makes it super fast to update a lot of data in a sheet/database.
